Abstract: Program Music

The Royal Society of Thailand

Since the Romantic Period, program music has been one of the

music genres in the music world of the Western civilization, then eventually
resulting in the development for years of the music repertoire. The music

had been developed in a more complicating and serious way of different
dimensions: concrete, symbolic and spiritual. Its definition has gradually

changed as time goes by along with the music development integrating with
literatures and poems. Program music was the inception of new idea of

music, as opposed to the existing absolute music; hence, lies as a border
line between music of Pre-Romantic Period and that of the Romantic

Period.

ดนตรีีพรีรีณนา เป็็นศััพท์บัญญัติของคำวั่า Program Music ซั่�งเป็็นศััพท์เฉพาะที�ใชิ้ในวังการีดนตรีี
คลาสสิกของอารียธรีรีมีตะวัันตกและมีีควัามีหมีายเฉพาะเป็็นที�เข้าใจตรีงกันในรีะดับสากล ดนตรีีพรีรีณนาเป็็น

ดนตรีีที�เกิดข่�นในยุคดนตรีีโรีแมีนติก (ป็รีะมีาณ ค.ศั. ๑๘๓๐-๑๙๐๐) หมีายถื่ง ดนตรีีป็รีะเภทหน่�งในกลุ่มี
ดนตรีีบรีรีเลงที�มีีเรี่�องรีาวัอยู่เบ่�องหลัง เรี่�องรีาวัมีักไมี่แสดงภาพชิัดเจน แต่เป็็นจินตนาการีในกรีอบที�ผู้ป็รีะพันธ์

เพลงรีะบุ ศััพท์ “ดนตรีีพรีรีณนา” ในควัามีหมีายแต่เดิมีเป็็นควัามีหมีายที�เครี่งครีัด กล่าวัค่อ ต้องเป็็นดนตรีี
