Thai Language 1.0 emphasized teaching how to read, write, and compose
various kinds of verse. This may be seen in textbooks from the Ayutthaya to
the early Rattanakosin periods, beginning with “Chindamani” in the reign of

King Narai the Great (1656-1688) to “Baebrian Rew” in the reign of King Rama V
              (1868-1910).

                             Chindamani Baebrian Rew

Thai Language 2.0 saw the application of English grammar to the
Thai Language, as seen in “Siamese Grammar”, or “The Principles of Thai”, by
Phraya Uppakit Sinlapasan (1879-1941). In fact, it was a test of the “so-called”
universal grammar of that era, and an analysis of the Thai Language using
              “so-called” international principles.
