Nitaya Kanchanawan 2
Abstract
Thai Language 4.0 describes aspects of the Thai Language in the era of
Thailand 4.0. The paper explores the development from “Thai Language 1.0”
through “Thai Language 2.0” and “Thai Language 3.0”. It is pointed out
that the language has changed in its characteristics and usage, as well as in
methods of teaching and studying, wherein the new technology plays an
important role.
Keywords: Thai Language 4.0, Thailand 4.0
Introduction
The idea of Thai Language 4.0 was adapted from Thailand 4.0, which was
in turn adapted from Industry 4.0. The term “Industrie 4.0” or “Industry 4.0”
originated in 2011 from a project in the high-tech strategy of the German
government.
Industry 1.0 refers to the first industrial revolution, which was marked
by a transition from hand production methods to machines through the use of
steam power and water power, between 1760 and 1820, or 1840 in Europe
and the United States.
Industry 2.0 refers to the technological revolution between 1870 and
1914, which was made possible by the extensive railroad networks and the
telegraph, which allowed for faster transfer of people and ideas. It is also marked
by the increased prevalence of electrical power, which allowed for factory
electrification and the modern production line.
