Princess’s birthday party at Dusitdalai Hall, Chitralada Royal Villa together with other well wishers.
In this special occasion, His Majesty the King donated seed to establish Saijaithai Foundation
under the Royal Patronage. The rest of the contributions were made by members of the royal
family, especially Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, as well as the general publics. The King then
appointed the princess to be the president of the foundation, her very first president position.

Other organizations and foundation of medical schools and various sectors in
public health
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has been the executive vice president of the Thai red cross
society which operates King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. Moreover, the princess has
been the president of the Siriraj Foundation to support Siriraj Hospital and the medical school.
The princess is also the royal patron of the Ramathibodi Foundation. When the princess was
36 years old, she donated funds to establish the Sirindhorn National Medical Rehabilitation
Institute Foundation, also known as the Sirindhorn Foundation under the royal patronage to
provide nursing care and education, to promote Buddhism, to build and renovate hospitals,
and to collaborate with others for public interests. The care center of the Sirindhorn foundation
located in the Maha Vajiralongkorn Royal College in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province
has been providing medical services to monks, novices, and people in the vicinity since 1977.

Chulabhorn Royal College
Professor Dr. Princess Chulabhorn is an internationally recognized chemist. The princess
has been devoted to applying scientific knowledge for the benefits of the society. The princess
established Chulabhorn Research Institute in 1987. With her deep interest in medicine,
especially oncology, the princess established Chulabhorn Hospital in 2009 as a 100-bed hospital
specialized in cancer treatment. The princess sustained and enhanced the aspirations of
the late King Rama IX and the Princess Mother in medicine and public health by establishing
Chulabhorn Royal College on 18 January 2016 as an organization under the office of the
prime minister. The Chulabhorn Royal College is composed of Chulabhorn hospital, Princess
Chulabhorn college of medical science, Princess Srisavangavadhana college of medicine,
Princess Agrarajakumari college of nursing, and Center of learning and research in honor of
