                   Abstract
Acute kidney injury (AKI) encompasses acute declining of renal function
and structural damage of kidney. Pathophysiology process of AKI is complex
which is not fully understood. Precision medicine focused on data analysis,
statistical model and information to trailer medical care into individual level.
The benefits of precision medicine were well demonstrated in genetic and
oncology. On the other hand, the use of precision medicine in nephrology,

especially in AKI, is challenging due to multifactorial nature of renal diseases.
The recent developed technologies including genomics, big data and
artificial intelligence could be the solutions to this problem. In this review article,
we summarized the overview of how precision medicine can be incorporated
into AKI caring process. We included the extensive review of recent genomics
techniques including epigenetics, single cell RNA sequencing and proteomics.
The big data and its origin were also reviewed in this article. In addition, the
artificial intelligence including artificial neuronal networks and deep learning
                  were summarized in this article.
Precision medicine is the emerging field in medicine that will influence
the change in management of many diseases in the future. By learning the
basics of precision medicine, medical personals can keep up with the upcoming
change in management of the diseases.
