since its foundation six decades ago. This review describes our most relevant,
published works that aim to improve malaria treatment, containment of
artemisinin-resistant parasites, innovating the use of triple-artemisinin combination

therapy in multidrug-resistant areas, use of ivermectin for mosquito-cidal
purposes, employment of RTS,S vaccine in combination with antimalarial drugs,
and assessing MDA in Laos as a model for malaria prevention in the Greater
Mekong Sub-region. These results provide critical support for ongoing and future
malaria control activities in Thailand and other regions.
