Figure 1 Color codes to classify COVID-19 situations: Dark red, red, and orange
(https://www.thairath.co.th/news/politic/2167877)
In Figure 1 (as translated into English by the author), three color codes for
three different scenarios represent the most severe to the least severe situations.
Each code encapsulates a set of seven descriptors related to travelling, activities,
eating establishments, department stores, beauty and massage parlors, academic
institutions, and sports. To elaborate, the areas coded dark red refer to the maximum
and strict control zones, in which, among others, gatherings of more than 5 people
are prohibited. Meanwhile, the red color code denotes the maximum control zone,
which prohibits gatherings of more than 20 people. The orange code is assigned to
the control zone, which prohibits gatherings of more than 50 people (https://www.
thairath.co.th/news/politic/2167877). In fact, two more color codes were
employed (not shown here). That is, the high watchful zones are coded yellow,
which prohibits groups of more than 200 people from congregating. Finally, the
surveillance zones coded green prohibits gatherings of more than 300 people.
