Each group was very different. The paintings of King Bhumibol were
shown to the public for the first time in the 14 national art exhibition in 1963,

and appeared subsequently in various national art exhibitions. The paintings are
a great contribution to art in Thailand. Modern art is more widely accepted
since their appearance. In 2015 His Majesty was honoured as a “Supreme National
Artist”. A Hall of Fame for the “Supreme National Artist” was constructed by the
Ministry of Culture at Tambon Khlong Ha, Amphoe Khlong Luang, Pathumthani
Province as a gallery for the exhibition of His Majesty’s paintings so that His
Majesty’s talent may be widely appreciated by his people.
