A documentary video honoring His Majesty the King while studying in the Commonwealth
of Australia, produced by the Embassy of the Commonwealth of Australia in Thailand, highlights
His Majesty’s exemplary conduct during his education. It features his time at the Armed Forces
Academies Preparatory School at King’s School, Parramatta, Sydney, and the Advanced Military
College at Duntroon Military College, Canberra. The documentary includes archival footage from
that period and interviews with His Majesty’s classmates, many of whom later became prominent
figures in the Australian military and government.
The close and amicable relationship between Thailand and the Commonwealth of Australia
began with the establishment of diplomatic relations on December 19, 1952, marking 69 years
in 2021. This relationship spans a wide range of areas, including diplomacy, military cooperation,
trade, investment, and people-to-people connections. There have been regular exchanges of
visits by high-ranking officials, underscoring Thailand’s significant role as an important ally of
the Commonwealth of Australia in the Asia-Pacific region. (Source: www.royaloffice.th)
