Royal duties in foreign affairs in Thailand
The royal duties in foreign affairs that His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra
Vajiraklaochaoyuhua undertook while holding the title of the Crown Prince of Siam were
carried out with great strength throughout the reign. He supported the royal duties and was
a key figure in the efforts of King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the
Queen Mother in conducting foreign affairs. King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua
while being the Crown Prince was resolute and consistent in carrying out these duties, taking on
the responsibility of welcoming foreign kings, heads of state, and dignitaries who visited to pay
their respects and extend well wishes in a manner befitting the royal dignity. This continued
seamlessly after His Majesty ascended to the throne. The King also granted audiences to foreign
ambassadors assigned to Thailand from various countries with which Thailand maintained friendly
relations. He placed great importance on both welcoming and bidding farewell to ambassadors
