and Mythological Perspectives

Several ancient civilizations have a corresponding myth. People of
those civilizations perceive that the Sky or Heaven as the father god and the
Earth as the mother goddess. The Sky father and the Earth mother give birth
to a number of offspring. Unfortunately, ancient myth does not tell us the
love story and the cause of the relationship between the Sky and the Earth.
But if we analyze the terms ‘sky’ and ‘earth’ in Sanskrit and some related
terms in etymological perspective and carefully interpret the myth, we will
conceive that the relationship between the Sky and the Earth symbolizes the
natural power of conserving of all races. Furthermore, we understand that
nature gives us a true benefit, so we should treat sky, earth and all natural
beings and things with respect and retain the balance.
