291 Proceedings of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress Results The results after the art activities intervention on the samples are as follows: 1. The purposive sampling method with total orphanage criteria was used to detect the sample population. From the interview, five grade-three school orphans were found, in which two are male (40%) and three are female (60%). The age percentage is three samples are 8 years old (60%) and two samples are 9 years old (40%). 2. Explanation on art activities intervention to the samples was found very useful. The samples and their teacher understood the activities’ plans and all objectives. The samples became acquainted with the art materials and equipments. They quickly learnt the basic skill in using the materials. 3. The observation on the samples’ behaviors during the art sessions shown that the art activity that was most successful is the “Plant pot of dream tree”, followed with the “You and me enjoy drawing together”, and “Adding on to my future” for examples. These observations were based on the following behavioral practices; 3.1 Independence - Confidence in own work. - Proud and appreciate in own work. - Learn and solve problems. 3.2 Interdependence - Help others in the activities. - Enjoy doing the activities. - Exchange in ideas during the activities. 3.3 Personal Responsibility - Completed works at given time. - Response to comments appropriately. 3.4 Social Responsibility - Received appreciation from the peers. - Acted appropriately during all sessions. 4. The statistic result via pretest-posttest results of self-esteem assessment on the five grade-three school orphans before and after the art activities intervention shown at .05 that the self-esteem has increased significantly. Discussion and Conclusions The research result show that the self-esteemof the five samples have increased significantly can be concluded that the increased was based on the factors of the followings;
