The circuits include one configuration using a bipolar transistor and the other using a MOS transistor. With the circuit components as presented, both circuits give a better performance than those of the voltage-feedback oscillators using the same principal components. Particularly, the current-feedback oscillator that uses a MOS transistor gives an electrical efficiency in the 58-73 percent range, whereas the voltage-feedback oscillators using bipolar transistors yield an electrical efficiency lower than 50 percent.
