The average subsistence wage of these women is approximately 100-200 Baht per day [approx. 2-4 pounds sterling]. Many of the women are bringing up families alone or are the grandmothers of the children, it is essential that they are offered the opportunity to have tests which give early detection of cancer. Without the diagnostic screening tests offered by the QSCBC, these women would not have the opportunity to have any care.
