Land transportation, especially by motor vehicles, which is the main means of carriage for domestic traveling, poses the risk of accidents. There are laws and regulations such as the Land Transport Act and the Land Traffic Act which offer preventive measures as well as remedies for damage, as prescribed in the Protection for Motor Vehicle Accident Victims Act B.E. 2535. Acceler- ated measures to speed up compensation are heeded by insurance companies, as prescribed in the General Insurance Act B.E. 2535.
