Write Award in 2005. The techniques of tale - telling are mixed with the techniques of the post-modern short story. The writer uses the form of tales within a tale and some conventions of fairy tales as well as the symbols, the irony, the humor, the crossed genre, the metafiction, etc. Those techniques of narration efficiently and powerfully present the meaning of the stories which suggest the happiness of simple style of living, free from the world of competition and materialism. Therefore, Chao Ngin is one of the outstanding example of the post-modern contemporary Thai literature. Key words : Chao Ngin, techniques of narration, post-modern literature
