The turning point is when Field Marshal Sarit Thanarat conducted the pro-capitalist policy by imposing land-holding freedom as a political tool. The gap between the agricultural and industrial sections, therefore, was widened and the industrialists had more apportunity to obtain land than the peasants themselves.
