Among Royal activities, laying a foundation of historical study was one of the most important actions. The King himself was a historian who realized that a history is an essential subject. He exhibited that history creates patriotic and gives lessons in order to prevent repeating of serious circum- stances. He established “Borankhadee Samoson” or Historical and Archeological Society to educate modern historical and archeological studies. The King criticized Memoir of Princess Narin Dhevee as a sample of an analysis historical study which is different from historical study by Royal Chronicle which has been studied for a long time.
