Abstract Port Logistics Planning and National Advantage Rahat Rojanapradit Urban and Regional Planning Department, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand At present, Thai people have been enthusiastic with nationalism and national profit, after a case of losing a huge chance and national profit to other countries. Some notice occurs in terms of warfare from a history between Thailand and Burma. As Thai army was not weaker than Burma or any other armies. However the Burmese could occupy Ayudthaya, our previous capital twice, while there was not at once Thai could overcome Burma. The answer comes out that in the past the Burmese could manage their supply with high potential at present, called a supply chain management in logistics. Therefore they can enforced Thailand. Nowadays, any country that is able to develop their logistics strategy efficiently will make high benefit in globalization’ competition. This article will focus on some maritime and merchant marine together with land transportation related to Ranong port, the local port located on the coastal of Andaman Sea. Taking the resource data to make a potential analysis on the economic corporation project between Thailand and six neighboring countries, the Greater Mekong Sub-regional Co-orpera- tion Project (GMS). It main physical plan of East-West Economic Corridor will be considered to find appropriated strategy in Logistics system to make benefit to our beloved country in the future.
