Most of the story revolves around a war between Phra Rama, the king of Ayodhya who has a monkey army and Tosakanth, the demon king of Lonka who has a demon army. The movement of the monkey in Khon performance has been influenced by the characteristics of monkeys in nature combined with the grand shadow play (Nang Yai) and swordplay performance. All are integrated into the performance of the monkey in Khon. The research finds that the acting performance pattern for the monkey in Khon performance come from the characteristia of Ling Samae (macacairus) that are abundant in Thailand. By studying about them, it is found that Ling Samae (macacairus) live in areas such as Phra Kan Shrine, Lopburi; Khao Sammuk, Chonburi; and Khao Wang, Phetchaburi.
