อ็ องเดร มาลโร กั บโลกศิ ลปะ 106 The Journal of the Royal Institute of Thailand Vol. 37 No. 2 April-June 2012 Abstract André Malraux and the Arts Chintana Damronglerd Associate Fellow of the Academy of Arts, The Royal Institute, Thailand André Malraux was a French writer who lived between 1901-1976. He had lived through both World Wars and was part of the movements against Fascism in Spain and the decolonization of Indochina. Malraux was interested in the history and works of art from all around the world. His works on the arts were published after the second World War between 1947-1974. Malraux was of an opinion that artists must be fully free in their right of expression without any sanctions from government. Furthermore, artists should produce works that emphasized the importance of human and humanity which represented humanism. Malraux stated that artists looked at their surroundings with eyes that differed from other people. Artists were born out of conflicts which allowed them to create new style of art.
