This article reviews the existing research works on the two-phase flow in micro-channels. The review is categorized into two groups: adiabatic and non-boiling heat transfer two-phase flow in micro-channels concerned with the hydrodynamics of two-phase gas-liquid flow characteristics in various micro-channel shapes. This litera - ture review aims to collect the relevant information to optimize design and control of high performance small devices. Results from the recent studies show that two-phase flow in micro-channels has significant differences from two-phase flow in the con - ventional sized channels. It is expected that the flow pattern, pressure drop, and void fraction will affect the two-phase pressure drop, hold up, system stability, exchange rates of momentum, heat, and mass during the phase-change heat transfer processes. Thus, a systematic study of two-phase flow in micro-channels should be considered. Keywords: two phase flow, micro-channels, exchange rates of momentum
