Con fl ict management involves doing things to limit the negative aspects of con fl ict and to increase the positive aspects of con fl ict. There are several causes of con fl ict. Con fl ict may occur when two parties are required to engage an activity that is incongruent with their needs and interests. And there also are several models of conflict management. Johnson and Johnson (2007) presented Blake and Mouton (1964) models of handling interpersonal conflicts into five types: forcing, withdrawing, smoothing, compromising and confronting. Beside the interpersonal con fl icts, the management of intrapersonal con fl icts are also important. The successful of intrapersonal con fl icts management will lead to interpersonal conflicts resolution. And the interpersonal conflicts resolution will lead to Peace Building. keywords: con fl ict, peace building, psychological perspective 205-224 Mac9.indd 224 10/8/13 7:31 PM
