Faith can be divided in to two parts; one developing as magic cult to theistic religion, and confident, developing rational to atheistic religion. Wisdom as belief is a body of theistic religion called “dogma”, shown out as revelations and regarded as mots important basic practice in theisism but in buddhism, Wisdom is practical result of Dhamma, called “Vipassanayana” Ingeneral, wisdow is to realization of all things as they are real, devided in to two parts; technological knowledge, worldly wisdom and religious wisdom divided in to two levels; one is called “conventional knowledge” and one comes from religious practice called “supramandance” the highest. In buddhism, wisdom is based on right view, having two factors; good friend and reasoned attention; the four noble truth. Faith and wisdom, In Buddhism, are related to each other as the foundation, creating the atmostfere to the mind for critical reflection. In the Tripitaka, there are many categories of the Dhamma, shown the important of the basic, the highest, the roles of faith and wisdom in many places. And wisdom is there regarded as the most important factor in elimination of defilements as attainment of Aarahanta. Keywords : faith, wisdom, ultimate truth, religion
