121 วิรุณ ตั้ งเจริญ วารสารราชบัณฑิตยสภา ปีที่ ๔๐ ฉบับที่ ๒ เม.ย.-มิ.ย. ๒๕๕๘ Abstract A Case Study: The Study and Creation of Visual Arts Wiroon Tungcharoen Associate Fellow, Academy of Arts, The Royal Society of Thailand. The study and creation of arts are one and the same thing. If we study arts without creating them, society would be deprived of advanced and up to date arts. On the contrary, of we blindly create arts without studying them in depth and details, or without studying thier history, the arts that emerge would lack appropriate development, depth, and value that would be suitable to society. Various fields of art have common themes and are inter-related. or “Arts shed mutual light.” Arts and creativity are related. When we create an art work, resulting in a new form of art, this novelty gives rise to a new value. It means that we have to accept changes from the arts of yore and also the loss of some elements. The study and creation of arts are mainly involved with aesthetics, the history of arts, art criticism and the provess in the creation of arts.
