Only seven episodes in the story are used in this study: the hunchback urges Queen Kaikesi to ask King Thotsarot to relinguish the throne to Phrot; Rama lifts Shiva’s bow; Sammanakkha is punished by Laksana; Rama catches the golden deer; Thotsakan abducts Sida to Longka; Hanuman goes there to return to Sida her own ring and sabai left in the jungle while she was abducted; and Thotsakan is killed by Rama. Many differences, both important and finer details, on its story and characters focusing on character appearances, the relationship of some characters, and character images are found in these two versions. The different findings indicate that the details in Ramakian by King Rama I do not come from those in Ramayana by Valmiki. In addition, each version has its own convention and values to present the characters’ beauty and personality.
