ปรั ชญาวั ฒนธรรม 50 The Journal of the Royal Society of Thailand Vol. 41 No. 2 April-June 2016 Abstract : Philosophy of Culture Siddhi Butr-Indr Associate Fellow of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, The Royal Society of Thailand. Culture philosophy, as one of the applied philosophies, becomes widely accepted in the world of philosophical studies, in China and India as philosophical sources of the East and Greece as origin of the West. Both maintain relationship and exchange of man’s wisdom treasure-intellectual property to be transferred into their cultural heritage of most value up to present generation, with hope for human fellows to transcend their old sentiment as “East is East and West is West, never the twin shall meet”. Cultural philosophy analysis and applies essentials from all pure philosophies of ontology, epistemology, logic, ethics and aesthetics, of which axiology represents, integrals and synthesizes them into the central heart principle of ‘Human value’, based on Humanism and Relativism, to enculturate man to be entitled ‘the Cultural animal’, who makes use of the natural treasure to work up cultural creativities, which in term upgrade his life-way as Human Being. All depends on man’s own intellectual property, through educational culture of various forms and levels. Man is then only one of living beings, who lives a double life of ‘natural- cultural existence’, under the Natural law in term of the Natural regulation and the laws initiated by man as Human regulation. Culture, as therefore the state of human- development and progress and civilized life way is of two categories : spiritual culture, from which exist the values of knowledge, thought, wisdom, belief, reason, beauty, right and good and free will, all transcend dictatorianism. It implies human creative power for initiation of Material culture of various kinds, phases and levels to serve human necessities, demands and even desires, without limitation, moderation and everlasting. Keywords: Spiritual culture, Material culture, Natural law, Intellectual property, Natural treasure, Human regulations, Values.
