356 Proceedings of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress 49) found that art, drawing and painting in particular, that has been used in the art therapy program with clinical psychology intervention was able to reduce the aging population’s depression before they even see psychiatrists. Veronica Precious Bohanan (2013) said that her art therapy approaches used had fostered hope, promoted self-discovery and helped in the process of reconciling past traumas, as well as Yasenia Fernandez Farr (2013), who used the art therapy to assisted children with the lacks of self-awareness, self-management skills, social awareness, and interpersonal skills, inwhich the researchers have also found that the orphans with depression have the same emotional problems, and need to have the same development of emotional goals. These therapeutic results are very obvious in the Junior-photographer art activity as the boy with the nickname of “Tim” has completed this art activity session and found to be more diligent and hard working than he normally was (figure 1). He accepted his weakness and hopes to be an achiever in his studies, and in many life goals, which supported by Pilasinee Wongnuj (2006) that art promotes the students’ creativity and develop the self-confidence. The other art activities have been positive in such emotional and social development as seen in figures 2-10, a) Nice to meet you, b) Free children, c) Adding up happiness, d) Open heart, e) Amazing me, f) Little junior surveyor, g) Adventurous journey, h) Playful Innovator, i) Tale of dream, j) Junior photographer. Recommendations 1. Teachers and clinical psychologists should try to use art therapy to alleviate depression in children, as well as help them to proper and steady development. 2. Besides using the art therapy to help the children with depression, it should be also use in both orphans and special children to achieve their emotional goals and other skills. Recommendations for further study 1. There should be more research on art therapy for alleviating orphans with depression to find out other therapeutic art techniques and approaches. 2. Art therapy for alleviating orphans with depression should be conductedmore on other age groups, and more with further development of the art activities. References Bohanan, Veronica Precious.
