In the west, art therapy has been applied to work with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for treatment of depressive patients (Rubin, J. A. 2001). Much has been used to treat children with depression, which proved to be one of an effective treatment of art therapy. Together with psychotherapy, art has been a catalyst that used effectively with children because they find art to be an interesting field of their expression. Children prefer to express their thinking and emotional experiences. Therefore, art therapy with its healing power of the art has been an alternative way of therapy for children with psychological problems. Such practice is a central idea of this study that art therapy incorporating cognitive behavior therapy will be applied to orphans population for reducing their depression. Objectives 1. To develop an art therapy sessions to alleviate children with depression. 2. To compare the results of pretest-posttest from an art therapy intervention on children with depression. Research Hypothesis and Framework Art therapy incorporating cognitive behavior therapy or art therapy behavioral therapy (ACBT) is efficient in the use on the orphans with depression treatment. Methodology This study followed experimental research method using pretest-posttest control group design, to compare the results of the art therapy intervention on the five orphans aged 9 - 11 years with depression, subjects were selected through the purposive selectionmethod from16 children of Mahamek Social House, Bangkok, inwhich the sample groups were tested positivewith depression . Tools 1. Personal Data collection sheet to collect data from the sample groups, and related problems from their teachers. 2.
