In the United States, the music has been under systematic development Thailand adopts music but music development for systematically special education has not completed yet. Beforementioning about the study on childrenwith special needs, music study for children with special needs does not have the same meaning as music therapy. Instead, music study for children with special needs means the study which aims the learners to learn about the music. The educatorsmust understand the special needs of the learners and learn about the teaching techniques so that the learners can learn music. In terms of music therapy, it means patient treatment or on childrenwith special needs treatment usingmusic as themediumor the treatment instrument. So, the therapists are required to study and learn about psychological treatment and behavioral science. Nonetheless, some patients may have abilities to learn music by music therapy while some use their ownmusic experiences tomodify their physical, emotional, thinking or social behaviors only. Music promotes the following aspects: 1. Motor Development - movement development e.g. dancing 2. Perception - music as a medium 3. Language - music as a language e.g. singing 4. Social Skill - adaptation 5. Cognitive Learning - music as a medium Music therapists have six steps towards children with special needs’ therapy 1. Movement 2. Play 3. Listening Skill 4. Singing Activity 5. Encourage and Creating 6. Ability to read music and deal with music terminologies Five factors promoting music study are: 1. Movement Skill 2. Perceptual Skill 3. Language Skill 4. Verbal and Non-verbal Skill 5.
