Furthermore, the research of Dr. Nuttika Soontorntanaphol and Assistant Professor Prapansak Pum-in which was done in 2014 on a study of the music therapy in Thailand. The course is for bachelor of music and was taught under the name of Music Therapy, also there was a fieldwork which was worked with HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Center, Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot Unversity, Ongkharak Campus. From all the work in this field, there is an improvement and expansion for creating music therapy course which conforms toThailand context and the distribution of this knowledge to academic society for improving the living quality of people who require music therapy in the future. Keywords : Music Therapy, Thailand Introduction Music is an international language and it is a part of everyone. Music promotes perfect life. If music is systematically used, it can create communication through emotional expression, stress reduction and joviality. Due to the fact that music is a human’s emotional expression instrument, it can reduce stress and promote mental wellness. As a result, human brain is studied to answer human ability development and know the benefits of music for the brain. The society believes scientific experiments that try to use reasoning proof. As a result, scientific experiments gainmore reliability than aesthetic-principle words. Nowadays, researches study more about brain development and systems by focusing on music therapy. For the study ofmusic therapy, the study process canbe divided into twomain characteristics – basic research study and clinical study. For clinical study, medical devices including EEG (electro encephalography) and basic medical check-up equipment and are involved. However, there are not so many CT scan devices in Thailand and they can be used for vital cases only. In terms of research method, it is quick and multi-dimensional. Until now, there are many personnel from many industries who study about music therapy such as doctors, nurses, music teacher/professors, psychologists, music therapists, physiotherapists, social workers etc. The studies are from the perspectives of the fields that are specialized and expertise. Music study can be used to treat the children with special needs. If the teachers know how to use the music systematically, the children with special needs may receive a lot of benefits from the music. Music can promote confidence, muscle movement, visual ability, hearing sense and directional learning. Children can have better development and soothe their disabilities. Moreover, they have better learning skills. As a result, music is widely used for children. Music and Children with Special Needs The roles of music study towards special education are to promote knowledge and skills on music in terms of aesthetic and give satisfied experiences to children with special needs.
