(26) Proceedings of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress The Royal Society of Thailand set up and assigned the Interdisciplinary Committee for Research and Development to be core authority to establish the Interdisciplinary Networks among the local Institutes and academicians. The Committee has coordinated and established 7 regional Interdisciplinary Networks from all over Thailand namely; Upper Northern Network, Lower Northern Network, Eastern Network, Northeastern Network, Central Network, Southern Network and Western Network. The next main effort is the establishment of network among researchers from various academic institutes, other public and private agencies. This year, theNational Defence College, in cooperationwith the Royal Society, will introduce the interdisciplinary research methodology to each group of 300 students in the determination of the strategies in various fields to solve the main common national problems. Each graduate school in the country will be requested to set up one interdisciplinary network to select the main national topics from the list identified by the authorities concerned in order that the post graduate students could select the appropriate topic and include the subtopics in their dissertationwork.The outcome of this interdisciplinary research will be the favorable paper presentation that consists of the problem oriented main topic and the subtopics which are means of solutions. The Interdisciplinary Committee for Research and Development will also establish the Interdisciplinary University, the Interdisciplinary Medical Centre and the arrangement of the Interdisciplinary Environmental Oriented Youth Camp to increase public awareness in Interdisciplinary Study and Research. In conclusion, the Interdisciplinary Committee for Research and Development, the Royal Society of Thailand will celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 5 th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn by the implementation of the following principal projects: 1. The Hosting of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress (The Fifth Interdisciplinary Day Conference); 2. The Conference upon Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of the Honorary Interdisciplinary Medal; 3. The Establishment of the Interdisciplinary Institute of Thailand.
