In LR process of MRCT project, TDA also conduct traditional clearance; except EOD process which is responsible by HMAU3 upon request. Once deminer finds landmine/UXO, he will clear buffer zone at least 15 meters around that dangerous object. The buffer zone is made to carefully check if there is anymore landmines laid in defensive line patternwhich is normally found in border area of Surin province, Thailand. If no more landmines is found, he will stop making more buffer zones. If he finds one more landmine, he will continue to make another buffer zone, until no landmine in defensive line pattern is found. Progression of cleared area in buffer zone and in technical sampling lanes as well as numbers and types of landmines found are recorded in Monthly Progress Report which is submitted to TMAC monthly and one copy is kept in TDA coordination office.
