They have thorough understanding/knowledge of landmines/UXO, particularly those often found in border area of Thailand so as to be aware of their dangers. 3. They are competent in implementing LR process; NTS, TS, and tradition all and mine clearance. 4. They are competent in handling the metal detector; VALLON VMH3SC 5. They are competent in using all related survey equipment; GPS, Compass, etc. 6. They are competent in Medical Evacuation for landmine clearance operation. 7. They all thoroughly understand their role and responsibility in the operation of MRCT Project. 8. Legal authority for mine actions in Thailand (TMAC) primarily accredits the training course. Training Period: The training course was organized during 1 May 2014 to 16 June 2014 . Preparation for training course was however done by main responsible personnel-Field Manager-since the first half of April 2014. Training Place: As the result of good coordination, TDA was lucky enough to get permission by all related authorities to use “Baan Pluang Military Engineering Unit” for the training course. It locates in Baan Pluang village, Baan Pluang sub-district, Prasart district, Surin province, just about 5 kilometers from Prasart intersection. Its accessibility is convenient. The provided building was used for both training lecture and accommodation for all trainees. Instructors: Training course provided sufficient qualified instructors fromaccredited units; TMAC, Ratchaburi Demining School, and TDA 6.7 ArcGIS xx.xx (Software Used for Information Management of the MRCT Project) TDA uses ArcGIS xx.xx program inherited from the IARS Project Supported by JAIF (2007 - 2009), for the information management of the MRCT Project. There are 2 main reasons; firstly it is good program widely used for Information Management System for Mine Actions (IMSMA) worldwide including TMAC, and secondly TDA’s Database and related Office are familiar with it. Thailand digital map with high resolution (kindly given by TMAC) is inserted in Arc GIS as well as polygon of minefield 087-01 (also given by TMAC) for working reference. As the field operation progress, polygon(s)/line(s) of surveyed/cleared areas will be marked physically on groundwithmetal stakes, and digitally with geography coordinators byGPS. FM or related field staffs shall weekly (or sooner) send working polygon coordinators (or lines)to
