222 Proceedings of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress 6.5 Equipment Procurement First batch of project personnel was responsible for equipment procurement in the first month which is necessary for the whole project operation in following months. They are for example metal detectors, personnel protective equipment (PPE) vest/mask, office equipment, landmine survey equipment, landmine clearance equipment, and so on. All equipment necessary were procured/purchased in accordance with specification stipulated in MRCT project proposal, and up to schedule. For more equipment details, please also refer to Important equipment procured areas follows: Metal Detector: 8 units of VALLON, Model VMH3 CS, as stipulated inMRCT project proposal, were purchased and imported for the MRCT project. Good arrived Thailand on 2 nd May 2014. TDA field staffs request this detector because they are familiar with it. PPEMask: 11 units of ROFI Mask fromNorway were imported in the middle of April 2014. TDAfield staffs request thismask for field operation because it is lighter andmore convenient to wear it than to wear other brand. Protection level main mask is V50 335 m/s. Eye protection level is V50 250 m/s (STANAG 2920). PPE Vest: 11units of INVOSTAR from Cambodia were imported and arrived in 28 th April 2014. TDA field staffs request this PPE vest for field operation. They are familiar with this vest as it is lighter and more convenient to wear it than to wear other brand.
