(23) Proceedings of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress Special Message from His Excellency General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Ret.) Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand On behalf of the Royal Thai Government I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Royal Society of Thailand and to many distinguished international and Thai academics that have presented their important research as well as motivating exhibitions at the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress. The distinguished gathering of the PrincessMahaChakri SirindhornCongress is particularly significant this year, as Thailand also celebrates the auspicious occasion of the 5 th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on 2 April 2015. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is the first and only recipient of the Honorary Interdisciplinary Medal, and it is therefore inspiring that the interdisciplinary approach towards research, as exemplified by themany renowned academics at this event, has significantly contributed to sustainability and development efforts at the local and international levels.
