Multivariate analysis of seizure predictors Several significant factors were selected for logistic regression to identify independent predictive factors for seizure in SLE patients. These factors included gender, onset age more than 50 years old, photosensitivity, proteinuria, leukopenia, lymphopenia, thrombocytopenia, psychosis, end stage renal disease and cerebrovascular disease. Table 3 showed multivariate analysis with adjusted odds ratio for risk of seizure in SLE. Multivariate analysis showed that photosensitivity (OR 2.286, 95% CI 1.26 – 4.15, p = 0.006), proteinuria (OR 2.160, 95% CI 1.24 – 3.77, p = 0.006), leukopenia (OR 2.043, 95% CI 1.21 – 3.44, p = 0.006), thrombocytopenia (OR 2.143, 95% CI 1.30 – 3.53, p = 0.002), psychosis (OR 3.363, 95%CI 2.11 – 7.34, p < 0.001), end stage renal disease (OR3.936, 95%CI 2.11 – 7.34, p< 0.001) and cerebrovascular disease (OR3.803, 95%CI 1.98 – 7.31, p < 0.001) remained the predictive factors for seizure in SLE patients.
