(22) Proceedings of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress I would like to beg for Your Royal permission to further report that this Congress, attended bymore than 300Thai and foreign participants, will consist of academic lectures, panel seminars in various academic disciplines bywell-respected and experienced domestic and foreign academicians, the presentation of more than 150 papers on interdisciplinary research, exhibitions in celebration of the auspicious occasion on Your Royal Highness’s 5 th Cycle Birthday Anniversary, exhibition on interdisciplinary innovation, andwork of the 7 regional interdisciplinary network, which includes, exhibitions onClimateChange andHumanitarianLandmineActions as well as exhibitions arranged by public and private agencies. The primary objective of the Congress is to raise funds to establish the Interdisciplinary Institute that will develop both domestic and international interdisciplinary network with a view to commemorate Your Royal Highness’s 5 th Cycle Birthday Anniversary sustainably. Today is one of the most memorable day forThailand as the products of the first systematic interdisciplinary research and development of pharmaceutical science in the country, the “ Andrographis Paniculata Gel as an Adjacent in the Treatment of Periodontitis”, which is also the first modern herbal medical product fromThailand and the world, has received patents from many countries including the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Australia and Thailand (under the process of registration of patent in Japan). The Research and Development of this herbal pharmaceutical product, undertaken by the researchers of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Dentistry of Mahidol University for 23 years, has developed to the industrialization stage at the Centre of Pharmaceutical Research and Development, Thammasat University. The registration of the product has been approved by both domestic and foreign Office of Food and Drug Control and manufactured to distribute in commercial nature to relieve and treat patients all over the world. This product serves for both domestic consumption and export, which will contribute to sustainable socio-economic development for the prosperity and stability of the nation in accordance with the national development strategy. For innovation in social science, there will be an exhibition showing the transformation of daily morning and evening prayer and Pochonka Parit verses into standard international musical note so that any musicians can practice prayer by themselves. The Congress is well supported by both public and private sectors, who will be graciously granted the royal audience by Your Royal Highness. They will present cash contributions and souvenirs to Your Royal Highness as well as receive the Honorary Medal of “The First Gem of Interdisciplinary Scholar”.
