Your Royal Highness, I, Professor EmeritusDr. YongyudhVajaradul, Chairman of the InterdisciplinaryCommittee for Research and Development of the Royal Society of Thailand, Chairman of the Royal Society’s InterdisciplinaryNetwork under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness PrincessMaha Chakri Sirindhorn, andChairman of the Interdisciplinary Foundation for Research andDevelopment, and on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress for the Fifth Interdisciplinary Day Conference with the theme “Interdisciplinary Approach to Sustainable Research and Development” which celebrates the auspicious occasion of the 5 th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of Your Royal Highness, would like to beg for Your Royal permission to report that the Interdisciplinary Committee for Research and Development of the Office of the Royal Society ofThailand, the Royal Society’s Interdisciplinary Network under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Interdisciplinary Foundation for Research and Development, the Office of the National Research Council, the Association National Defence College of Thailand and all participants here are overwhelmingly pleased and grateful to Your Royal Highness’s kindness on the occasion of Your Royal Highness’s graceful presiding over the Opening Ceremony of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress today. On the auspicious occasion of the 5 th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of Your Royal Highness, the Organizing Committee of the Congress unanimously agreed to request H.E. Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, PrimeMinister ofThailand to humbly present the HonoraryMedal of “The First Gem of Interdisciplinary Scholar” to Your Royal Highness and arrange a Thai classical dance show to bless Your Royal Highness. A special song has been composed to celebrate and honor Your Royal Highness, who is skillful and has expertise in various fields of science using an in interdisciplinary approach. Your Royal Highness is a role model for all Thais in the pursuit of national sustainable development, and is well deserved to be the first and only Prime Great Interdisciplinary Scholar.
