Hormone and clinical chemistry determination In this study sevendifferent group of hormones, four nutrition compounds and biochemical testing were determined in serums of all patients that were evaluated and compared betweenmale and female (Table 1). The CIMT test was selected as the relevant physiological marker for early prognosis in patients. CIMTwas measured as the percentage of stenosis in artery and the thickness of blood vessel wall around the body. The % stenosis and maximum thickness in this study was shown in table 1.The level of selected hormones comparison by gender were represented in Figure 2. The IGF-1, insulin-like growth factor 1 is the hormone that produced by the liver under the stimulation of growth hormone (GH) and intake of food, protein in particular. The measuring of IGF-1 levels is a good marker of GH activity because it has more stable in blood than GH during daytime [1]. The IGF-BP3 is the IGF-1 binding protein which was indicated that high levels of IGF-BP3 reduce the bioavailable of IGF-1. Interestingly, the IGF-1 level in most male and female patient dramatically reduce whereas the IGF-BP3 levels are higher than reference standard level in normal. Figure 2 (a). Cortisol is the most potent glucocorticoid hormone that can increases both blood sugar and blood pressure, and neutralize inflammation [1]. In several studies a lower cortisol secretion has been reported in the elderly population. In this study more than half of bothmale and female were identified as cortisol deficiency. In addition, themore potent sex hormones in male and female including androstenetriol, is converted by the achieved action of DHEA . These conversions take place mainly inside target cells and not in blood. The role of DHEA is enhance the immunity by converting into the very immune-enhancing androstenediol and androstenetriol. It is believed that DHEA boots the immune system and also protects blood vessel from atherosclerosis [1]. In Figure 2 (b) the level of DHEA in both patients were lower than the optimal in normal male and female which the % disease in this particular hormone is more than 85% in male and female (Table 1). One of the most crucial metabolic hormone is synthesized in the thyroid gland. The thyroid hormone is composed of two major type, thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). T3 is themain thyroid hormone in the target cells andmost widely distributed in the body. In contrast, T4 is the most abundant thyroid hormone secreted by thyroid gland (80% of thyroid hormones in circulation is T4) [1]. In this study, the level of T3 in both male and female look similar and not be identified as T3 deficiency but the viable detection of T4 is different determination. Most female were suffered with the low levels production of T4 that is commonly found in the blood.
