173 Proceedings of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Congress NEW EDUCATION QUALITY ASSURANCE INDICATORS OF THAILAND INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY IN ASEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY (AEC) Piya Hirunwat ABAC Organization Development Institute (ABAC ODI) Assumption University of Thailand – Hua Mak Campus Abstract : Education is the most effective means to increase the quality of life and cultivate human to be fruitful to self, family, society, community, country and region. The objective of this research paper is to study about the interdisciplinary approach of the new education quality assurance indicators ofThailand International University inASEANEconomicCommunity (AEC). Preliminary, the researcher studied both Asian and International Quality Frameworks, along with culture dimension analysis theories to understand the common practices of international standard. The study methodology for categorization of data-gathering type was consisted of both qualitative and quantitative data analysis of Teaching and Learning Satisfaction Survey Evaluated by Students, Parents and Stakeholders. The research conceptual framework was designed from the concept of “Chain of Quality” to be better simplifying together of both Internal Quality Assessment (IQA) and External Quality Assessment (EQA). This formal practice is to collaborate the system of the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA) with the international universities in Thailand, and other partnerships that are Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN), ASEANQuality Assurance Network (AQAN), ASEAN University Network (AUN), Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning Thailand (ASAIHL Thailand), International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), and Southeast AsianMinisters of Education Organization (SEAMEO). With respect to the international perspectives, the research design result of this study is like building an international university for the next generations with high quality of teaching and learning, and must have the good quality assurance system to support the students. When conducting both qualitative and quantitative data collection, the University should be aware of the privacy and security of students, parents and other stakeholders in the society. Having a good education quality assurance creates student’s engagement, including retention, loyalty to the University’s Identity and Uniqueness, willingness to make an effort to pursue continued higher education programs and services from the University, and willingness to actively advocate for and recommend the University to other people.
