Conclusions The selected mutants that had some promising traits for bioethanol production had been developed. The highest frequency of leaf type, plant type, seed type and early mutant were found in 400 Gy. The high brix mutant at 300 Gy showed the highest variation in stalk weight, juice extraction and brix (%) value with nearly 2 fold better than control. The early mutant matured earlier (10 days) inmaturity compared to the parent cultivar. The early maturedmutants can be of
