In this article the author first presents some evidences of inequality in key aspects of Thai society, and then points out, based on evidences from recent studies, that inequality – especially in income – is significantly related with indices of health and social problems. The article ends with suggestion that structural inequality which is based on the system of power centralization needs to be tackled in order to bring down other inequality in Thai society. keywords : inequality, structural inequality, social impact, Thai society
