Doi Inthanon has not been known only as the highest point in the country, but also its various significant functions namely: the water catchment area of Mae Chaem River; the site for natural, cultural and historical studies; and the area with biodiversity richness. With the various forms of land utilization in the area nowadays, however, Doi Inthanon has been challenging to the destruction of its own uniqueness especially the loss of biodiversity. This article is an attempt to explain how the vulnerability to the biodiversity loss would be. What are the causal factors? Lastly, the analytical guidelines for the conservation of biodiversity in Doi Inthanon is recommended. keywords : Doi Inthanon, biodiversity, causal factors, environmental education
