ÚııÒ Abstract : Counseling and social services for family and children Pattamaporn Busapathumrong Associate Fellow of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, The Royal Institute, Thailand This article focuses on counseling and social services by utilizing resource mobilization in social services and providing counseling for families and children. This will include child protective services, daycare services, education for children and foster care services. Three methods in counseling and social services discussed in this article cover casework service approach, group work approach and family therapy approach. Case studies on child protective services in the United States and Thailand have been employed to exemplify counseling and social services in this context.
