การก่อสร้างอาคาร 54 The Journal of the Royal Institute of Thailand Vol. 39 No. 3 Jul-Sep 2014 Abstract Constructing an Edifice Mati Tungpanich Fellow of the Academy of Arts, The Royal Institute, Thailand There are three main methods to construct an edifice, each of which has the same purpose, that is, to finish the construction within the specified time according to the budget in hand. There are no regulations or limits concerning the ratio or amount of work involved in each method. The choice of construction method or methods, the division of types or amount of work that should be done on the construction site or that should be prepared beforehand from elsewhere, all of which bearing an effect on the management of the construction, depend on the judgment of the person responsible for the construction. He would have to take into consideration factors such as surround - ings and existing conditions, as well as the architect’s design. Thus, the construction of each building and each project in each place may use only one method which is most suitable or a composite method. Therefore, it is necessary for the architect to know and understand each method of constructing an edifice in order to design an appropriate plan for each method of construction for the edifice to be well built and finish within the specified time and suit the purpose. Keywords : ordinary method of constructing an edifice, constructing an edifice by using ready-made parts, constructing an edifice by using industrial method, ready-made parts, module
